Do you need recovery? You must try the Tang (soup) here. Any Tang here will heal you. But for me, especially the oxtail and galbitang are the best. The Yukgaejang is a little spicy, but it's my favorite menu. Must try

Had the Yukgaejang or the spicy beef soup. The soup was very rich in beef flavor with a good amount of spice. It was also a deep red color and I appreciated the fact that there weren't any coarse chili flakes in the soup. Beef was pretty tender and it comes with a generous amount of noodles. Service is pretty no frills. Food comes out pretty quickly and very hot. You'll get a green onion bowl to garnish your soup and then it gets passed to the next table. Feels like a really authentic experience.

solid sullungtang place with yummy kimchi !! the establishment isn't that big but they do have a good number of tables. very small parking lot so if you're unlucky, parking can be annoying. the place is also established in the middle of a shady street in my humble opinion so it might seem a little scary if you're a female going alone... the food comes out pretty fast. i had the mix sullungtang and it was good! not GREAT to the point where it hits the spot, hence the 4 star instead of the 5, but still good to satisfy a sullungtang craving.

Their spicy red beef soup is LA's best. It tastes same like I used to have in Korea.

So Sul Lung-y, lol! Ox flavor to the max. Yang Ban Sul Lung Tang is a small, bare bones shop with just enough tables and just enough service. This is one of those spots where if you can speak Korean, it helps. Of course, not necessary, but just makes life easier with the standard minimal service. I've tried many sul lung tangs and this had the most ox flavor, thus far. Clearly steeped for a very long time, extracting all that flavor into the broth. It comes out smooth with just the right amount of cloud, less noodles than other places. Glob your rice in, season with salt & pepper, then add some green onions and you're good to go. I'm not a big kimchi person (blasphemy, I know) but my friend said it was excellent here and better than most other soup spots. The portion size is smaller than other sul lung tang spots, but the price is reflective of this. Come for breakfast (they open at 630am), lunch or an early dinner (they close at 5pm!) and enjoy!
